The Most Interesting RPG Games For 2024

0 (0)

2024 has been a great year for all role-playing game lovers. With the hottest and most-awaited releases, almost every week there was something new in our bucket. While some of them were a total surprise, some were our beloved follow-ups and sequels.

On that note, we have gathered a few (our favorite) RPGs in this blog post and we would advise you to continue reading with caution, because you may get lost in the gleam of these games.

As we’re approaching the novelties of 2024, it’s time to summarize some noteworthy new releases from the past season. So, let’s get into it.

Amnesia: The Bunker

The Bunker

The release of The Bunker was welcome news indeed. The first Amnesia undeniably started a new era of the horror genre, which is now so loved by various YouTubers and streamers. Yes and in general nowadays it is quite a popular genre. Even IPL betting online offers dozens of slots on this theme.

The Bunker is a return to the roots of the first original Amnesia, in terms of playthrough and setting. The developers have since changed and added so many features to the original version, but The Bunker has taken a really big creative step forward. They added a lot of different tools, and weapons to the game, made well-designed lights and shadows, and improved the graphics.

Sea of Stars

Sea of Stars

This is a love letter to fans of classic jRPG from Canadian studio Sabotage, authors of Messenger. If you are a fan of jRPGs, I highly recommend it. Especially since it is a prequel to Messenger. Sea of Stars has attractive characters, an interesting world, and a good combat system, which is already time-tested.

It’s very reminiscent of the battles of older plays, but it’s still quite interesting, even in this day and age, and overall it looks great. Graphics, sound effects, music, everything here is really on a high level. Sea of Stars turned out to be an enjoyable game for everyone who has a soft spot for 2D jRPGs with the turn-based combat system or who wants to try them for the first time.

Blasphemous 2

Blasphemous 2

If you’re looking for something challenging, tough, soulslike game but on a 2D plane, then this one is definitely for you. The first Blasphemous was delightful, and the second part may have even outdone it. In general, it has more interesting levels, crazy fights with bosses, and unrealistically beautiful 2D artifacts.

the global active gamers over time

(This graph shows the global active gamers over time, from 2015 to 2024, in billions).

By the way, there are a lot of positive reviews on Steam from people who have never even played the first part, and they praise the novelty. There are a lot of RPGs released in 2024, but Blasphemous 2 stands out from them.

Avatar Frontiers of Pandora

Avatar Frontiers of Pandora

Many people ridicule the Avatar films, yet they are a huge success all over the world. And that’s for a reason, as James Cameron has built some very cool worlds with some great action.

As you may remember, Avatar games have come out before and a lot of people loved them. They even have their fan base and this version looks promising. If you want to push even more boundaries of Pandora for yourself, then this product is definitely for you.

System Shock Remake

System Shock Remake

The remake didn’t, unfortunately, resonate as much as it should have at the time of release. This faithful remake of 1994’s System Shock seems to have pleased only fans of old-school games. It retained all of its creepy atmosphere. Plus it was just embellished for a more modern audience with good graphics.

Classic immersive simulators are released now very rarely, so we recommend you try System Shock. Such a playthrough will leave an imprint on your gaming experience.

Dave the Diver

Dave the Diver

One of the best indie games of this year with a very high rating on Metacritic, and for good reason. Dave the Diver is a truly creative approach to the scenario, with a lot of things mixed in. You dive to the bottom of a body of water in search of ingredients and other useful items, explore underwater unknown worlds, and run a sushi restaurant at the same time.

Do You Know?
Around 85% of all gaming revenues come from free-to-play games worldwide.

It’s a very amusing mix indeed. The game has a good sense of humor, it has a very kind vibe and there’s a lot to enjoy. It will be on many people’s lists of favorite playthroughs of the year. So if you haven’t seen this product of the Gaming industry yet, pay attention to it.
